Hey ya’, Xeno, how you doing, mate?

Alright Arthur, but it seems as though I’ve lost sight of the Joule Worms I’d been tracking. And yourself?

Fantastic really, you see—wait, what worms now?

Molly & Arthur || Great Hall

fierce-molls:

A fresh wave of fervor spread over her skin starting at his finger tips as they brush over the nape of her neck, pulling through her locks. Her eyes fluttered close as he placed her lips to her forehead, kissing her in such an endearing way that it made her heart flutter. “Thank you.” He’d whispered it into her skin. Her cheeks became rosy once again as she traced pictures into the freckles on his neck with the tips of her fingers. “No, thank you, Arthur.”, she spoke as tilted her head back to give an airy kiss to his jawline. That stood quietly, Molly tracing words of adoration from his freckles.

She didn’t want to stop. It was almost like a spell had been cast over her by him. She just wanted to spend hours admiring each area of skin that covered him; to trace the scars he’d earned when his was young, to trace each angel kiss upon his face, and to study his contours. It’s was entrancing.

She thoughts wondered. We’re here, outside of Hogwarts. Arthur and I are embracing one another just outside of Hogwarts. We are a couple embracing just outside of Hogwarts. Molly defined everything mentally, making a check lists and checking over and over if everything was completely real. Them, here, now it was just too perfectly surreal. It was the most utopian Christmas gift she could ever think of, that she’d received.

She finally pulled herself from her thoughts, making sure to look up at Arthur as she distanced them momentarily. “Arthur, where are you going during the holidays?” She’d completely forgotten about the holidays until she’d thought of this as a gift. They’d only just gotten together, so neither would tag along to the other’s family home, not they would be able to anyway with their families. It made her smile drop slightly, not so much so to read off with complete discontent, but enough to speak of how upsetting it was.

Arthur felt her hand on his face and he touched it gently with his own and then reached out and touched her face. His hand looked huge in comparison to her small little face. He stroked her soft face with the back of his hand. He studied her beautiful eyes, and just felt himself getting weak in the knees, like in a literal sense. He might fall apart. He felt like jelly. He felt peaceful, but jittery and suddenly overly aware of everything. His whole body was live wire, and even though he felt fantastic, he was all of too conscious of the fact that Molly Prewett was his girlfriend. She was a woman he’d never so much as thought would reciprocate his feelings, and now he was kissing her and holding her, and feeling her fingers on his freckles. It was surreal.

Then the next feeling he felt was, This is mine? Okay, she’s not a possession Arthur, but she’s like… she’s like… figuratively, mine. He slid fingers over her cheek, down her neck down her arms, taking up her free hand in his. Mine. Mine. Mine. She’s so beautiful and she’s mine. She’s the sweetest girl in the world and she’s mine. She’s so individual and independent and… He would’ve kissed her. Oh Merlin, how he wanted to kiss her, but he was still catching his breath, it felt like he would always be catching his breath.

When she spoke, she jarred him from his thoughts, all those beautiful thoughts of mine. Merlin, I’ve got it bad. He bit his lip. “I’m going home…” He said, smiling halfheartedly at her. “I don’t want to go, but I have to go. My mum would go batty if I didn’t turn up,” he said, putting his hand back on her face. “Are you going home as well?”

Molly & Arthur || Great Hall

fierce-molls:

She looked up at him as they detached themselves from one another for a moment, smiling with the corner of her mouth when the back of his hand touched her cheek. He was far more flushed than she had remembered, his blinks becoming longer as he seems to delve into his thoughts. “Molly-would you like to be…”, his voice shook, apprehension over coming his features. The unfinished statement had managed to make her jittery, thoughts of how it was going to be finished flushing her skin. Yes, yes, go on.. Her eyes searched his face, somehow his freckles turning into constellations, predicting everything. And she clung to them in the quiet.

Then his voice came again, stronger now, though his eyes seemed to shut just as his words left his mouth, ”my girlfriend?Yes, yes! A thousand times infinity and all that can possibly be measured, yes! Her mind threw everything that she had found herself worried of back, only a jumbled sentiment of primarily yes left. There was nothing for her to consider, nothing could touch her on her cloud nine. “Yes! Yes, Arthur, yes!” She wanted to fling her arms around him again, to dance some old wizard jig, to sing, and do everything to show him just how exuberant she was. She knew that if she were to do so, she would have surely injured him somewhere in her antics, so instead, she leaned up and kissed him again, hoping the passion would be able to convey her feeling; that the electric current they had felt before would carry the surge of emotions to him.

Everything was there again, the spark, the tenderness, and the passion, just as if they were kissing for the first time again. Only this time he surrounded her, his taste much stronger, his scent filling her air ways. She lost her breath quickly, but refrained from pulling away. He’s so much better than simple air.

But soon, she felt faint and had to pull away. Molly tried to breath slowly, attempting to hide her quiet pants. The music they had forgotten resonated in the air around them, trying to catch their attention. But her eyes remained his. “Arthur, you’re so perfectly romantic and sweet. Of course, I’d love to be your girlfriend.”

As soon as he had finally finished the statement, he was more nervous than he could remember ever being before in his life. She looked at him with an expression he couldn’t really identify. But it was intense and then she was kissing him again. It was just as amazing as the first time, and the taste of bubble gum this time was more intense. Their lips were going at a rapid pace, and as he slid his arm around her waist again he knew this was a yes. That this passion was not a fluke, and that it wasn’t only him feeling the spark. Molly felt it too. And she wanted to feel it more often. He was light headed quickly. He hadn’t much time to recover his breath from the last kiss. But he wouldn’t dare tear his lips from hers, just in case she changed her mind. Although with the electricity flowing between the two of them as if they were some sort of circuit, he was still afraid that she would change her mind. A hand drifted up to the nape of her neck.

When she pulled away, he could hear her breathing and he tried to keep it as quiet as hers was. Oh Merlin, this is perfect. He couldn’t even describe the thoughts and feelings going through him at this moment. His hand was still on her neck and he spread his fingers out and ran them through the hair at the nape of her neck. As she spoke, stating that she would love to be his girlfriend, it was all he could do not to kiss her again. He couldn’t breathe and it probably wasn’t a good idea to kiss her again.

He leaned down and kissed her forehead. “Thank you,” he whispered.

MOLLYYY AND ARTTHUUURRR!

Molly & Arthur || Great Hall

fierce-molls:

The song stopped as did their movements. He had stopped. Dread came over her; she’d screwed it up. She’d offended him. She’d let her crush lead her senses, not even thinking of what he had been thinking of her under her gaze. The next song had begun, but they hadn’t broken apart. She was bewildered. Why hadn’t he pushed her away if he was upset?

Molly tensed as he raised his hand to her chin, and pushed her face up to his. Before she’d even grasped the reality of the situation, they were kissing, his cotton candy lips gently pushing onto hers. Her eyes were wide as she was bombarded by her own thoughts. H-he’s kissing me. His lips are touching mine. They’re so soft. Thought over thought came over her, none waiting for the other to finish. He likes you. He likes you. How? Why? What are you just standing there for, you prat, kiss ‘em. She pushed herself up on her toes, her eyes fluttering shut, kissing him back feverishly. Her hands slide from behind his neck to his chest, laying lightly.

Everything about this moment, this second, felt beyond perfect to her. It was as if she’d been dreaming it. Her head felt light, dizzy from the abundance of emotions that flowed between them. Even the spark she’d heard about from the others was true. It was their connecting electric current, letting everything they other felt be shared.

As they began to pull apart from the moment, her lips followed his, pushing herself up onto the tip of her toes before they had broken apart. She kept her eyes closed for a second, biting down on her bottom lip, absorbing every ounce of bliss she could. She was so afraid that it hadn’t really happened; as soon as her eyes opened, everything would vanish.

She’d sunk back to the ground before she took the courage to look. And there he stood. It was real. Everything about it had been real. She beamed up at him, before wrapping her arms around him in a hug. He was most definitively real.

The second track continued to play, though its audience had turned into the trees and creatures of the land. Their breath was still forming clouds, but the temperature had long been forgotten.

Arthur couldn’t believe this. He was kissing Molly Prewett—his first kiss. His first kiss. And it was amazing. At first, he was afraid he wouldn’t know what to do. His thoughts consisted mostly of: I’m screwing this up. She just wants to be friends. I’m bad at this. I’m bad at this. Oh my god, is it possible for lips to sweat? No, no, that’s silly. up until she started kissing back. For some reason, she was kissing him back. And then his thoughts consisted of: Dear god she’s kissing me. What is that flavor? Is that bubble gum? It’s amazing. She’s amazing. This is amazing. This is brilliant. This is the physical equivalent of figuring out what a Muggle object is. He was discovering Molly. He was discovering her lips. Her taste.

She had to have done this before. She was too good at this. But as soon as this thought occured to him she was kissing him back in a frenzy and he felt his brain go fuzzy. He could no longer think. He reached out and started to thread his fingers through her smooth red hair, tilting his head and matching her movements as quickly as he could, equaling her enthusiasm if not adding to it.

He pulled back only because he couldn’t breathe. He had lost his ability breathe about thirty seconds ago, but he’d been kissing her despite the fact. He studied her for a moment, she was standing on her toes. She was looking up at him in the most adoring way, as if he was some sort of amazing charm being preformed in front of her. He was likely looking at her in a similar way, even though he could barely breathe and he was trying to regain his breath without panting.

When she hugged him, he was surprised to see she was real. That she had indeed been standing there. That she had indeed just been kissing him. It was amazing. This sensation was phenomenal, and comparing it to discovering a Muggle object didn’t even seem to do the situation justice anymore.

He took a step back from the hug, no matter how much he just wanted to be in her embrace forever. He reached out to her face, and gently brushed it with the back of his hand. “Molly—would you like to be…” his face turned a bright red as he prepared himself to say the next word. The story that James had told him flashing through his mind like a worst case scenario. He imagined Molly turning him down, and he suddenly didn’t want to say the next word. But he got up the nerve and spit it out, “my girlfriend?”

He’s very silly and endearing without meaning to be. Arthur isn’t afraid to be himself and to say whatever is on his mind. He’s often the subject of talk around Gryffindor Tower, with his antics and the fact that he seems to be the only person in the whole school who isn’t aware of his own feelings for Molly Prewett. Arthur is an all-around good person, able to amuse the most pessimistic Slytherins, though whether it’s a laugh or a sneer he’s getting out of them is depending on how you look at it.
